Mike finished a bite of turkey and said, ‘We have a gift for you too Foxtrot, we know how much you love playing games!’

The fox took the large box and unwrapped the snowflake pattern paper. ‘Oh wow! A shiny new chess set. I can play this with my family on Christmas day. Thank you so much!’

‘The gift was inspired by a flight for one of our amazing partners. My friend Pilot Ide flew to an airstrip in South Sudan, where I dropped off a huge shipment of toys and games, including Chess sets, Rubik’s Cubes, Dominoes and more!’ said Mike.

‘That’s fantastic as they help children learn to solve problems, develop creativity and help with co-ordination and concentrate on tasks,’ smiled Foxtrot.

‘Just as importantly, games are a fun way to spend time with your family and friends!’ exclaimed Alpha. ‘I love playing dominoes, its two games in one. My family like playing with them using the dots and shapes, and if I’m on my own I enjoy lining them all up, making a pattern, then tapping the end one and watching them all topple down!’

Foxtrot opened the Chess set and admired the beautiful wooden playing pieces ‘I love playing Chess, it’s quite tactical, and the more you play the more you learn. I suppose that’s a bit like reading the Bible, the more you read it, the more you learn about God and His promises.’ ‘I hope the children who got the games are enjoying them, and I hope they feel valued, knowing that other people are thinking of them,’ said Mike with a thoughtful smile.
